Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account for Zero Budget: Money Planner, made by Zero Budget. It works whether or not you still have the app installed.

Delete your account

  1. In the app (iPhone or Android). Sign in, then go to Settings → Profile → Delete account. Choose "In 30 days" (nothing is deleted today, and you can cancel any time before the date) or "Right now" (deleted the moment you confirm, and this cannot be undone). Type DELETE to confirm. The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
  2. On the web. Sign in and go to Settings → Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm. This schedules deletion for the end of your current billing period, or 30 days from now if you don't have a subscription. There is no immediate option on the web today; that choice exists in the app only.
  3. By email, if you can't sign in. Email hello@zerobudget.ca from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request against that address and delete the account by hand.

What gets deleted, and what we keep

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not always cancel what you pay for.

Just disconnecting a bank

If you only want to stop syncing one bank, you don't need to delete your account. Sign in, go to Accounts, and disconnect it there. That removes the connection at Plaid and stops further syncing immediately; everything else about your account is unaffected.

For everything else we collect and how long we keep it, see our Privacy Policy.
